A Winter Morning
Winter is the coldest season in our
country. So, a winter morning is naturally a very cold morning. It’s usually a
foggy morning when there is dense fog all around. Sometimes the fog is so dense
that nothing can be seen even at a little distance. Everything is in the grip (Lài) of people and
the slum-dwellers in cities suffer greatly for want of warm clothes. Birds’
chirping cannot be heard. The cow and other animals cannot come out. But it is
not so every morning. People make fire with leaves and hay to warm themselves.
People in general and children get up late. So everyone is busy in taking
breakfast, dressing and getting ready for going to their respective places.
When the sun rises unveiling the fog, people specially the old and the children
bask (‡iv` †cvnv‡bv) in the sun to
get rid of (gyw³
cvIqv)
the cold. The dew drops on the grass and the leaves look like pearls (gy³v) in the rays (iwk¥) of the morning
sun. The date juice (‡LRy‡ii
im)
sellers are often found selling date juice from door to door. It’s really
enjoyable to have a glass of this sweet drink. For this reason, I like winter
morning very much. People are often late to reach their destination (MšÍe¨) owing to (Rb¨) foggy (Kzqvkv”Qbœ) weather (AvenvIqv) and severe (Zxeª) cold. When the
fog disappears(A`„k¨
nIqv),
everybody starts going to his place of work and duties. The scene of the winter
morning vanishes as the day advances. The sun goes up and the fog melts. A
winter morning is enjoyable in many respects.
